AML / KYC

Identity checks protect access and support legal obligations.

Know-your-client and anti-money-laundering reviews may be required before funding, trading, changing payment details or withdrawing funds.

When checks begin

Verification can happen at several points.

The timing depends on the service, provider obligations and risk indicators.

During onboarding

Basic identity and contact information may be checked before an account is activated or a regulated service is offered.

Before funding

The provider may confirm that the payment method is held in your name and that the source of funds is understood.

During account use

Material changes, unusual activity or regulatory updates can trigger a new review.

Before withdrawal

Identity or bank details may be rechecked when funds are sent to a new destination.

Information requested

Only what the review requires.

Category Examples Purpose
Identity Legal name, date of birth, government identification Confirm the person opening or controlling the account
Address Residential address and supporting document Confirm jurisdiction and contact information
Financial profile Occupation, income range, source of funds Assess suitability information and financial-crime risk
Payment ownership Bank or card ownership evidence Reduce third-party funding and misdirection risk
Who performs the check

The responsible provider may use a specialist.

Identity technology, document review or screening can be supplied by a contracted third party acting under documented instructions.

Information sharing

A verification provider may receive identity documents, facial-match data where applicable, address details and screening results. The Privacy Policy explains the categories and purposes.

If verification cannot be completed

Account activation, deposits, trading functions or withdrawals may be delayed or restricted while information is incomplete or inconsistent. Support may ask for a clearer document or an explanation of a payment source.

Do not email sensitive documents unless the responsible team directs you to an approved channel. Never send passwords, recovery codes or full card credentials.

Relationship to security

KYC confirms identity; authentication controls who can access an account afterward. Both are needed, but one does not replace the other. Review the Security page for session, device and incident guidance.
